Unadilla Township Regular Board Meeting Minutes
February 9, 2006
Meeting called to order by Supervisor Peterson at 7:01 p.m. Motion Krueger support Mahler to approve agenda as amended. Carried. Motion Krueger support Cowan to approve consent agenda items including January minutes and bills as presented. Carried. Call to public: Jane Bollinger is trying to raise funds for the Stockbridge Area Genealogy and Historical Society, all old papers have been microfilmed and they now need a microfilm reader/printer. Donations can be sent to them at Box 966, Stockbridge. Zoning Report: written report of recent permits handed out. Recreation Report: Peterson said they are looking at grants, scheduling a clean up of Lakeland Trails to coordinate with the Township clean up day. Boy Scouts are working on the Unadilla Ball field. Police Report: New car delivery set for April. Working on employee evaluations. Sgt. Russell was named Officer of the Year and Officer Hamlin was awarded the Life saving award for the year. They are working on a Reserve officer job description. Fire Report: Two firepersons are attending MFR classes. Request the board approve new officer Chris Nielsen. Truck maintenance all complete and all portable equipment has been serviced in house. Motion Topping support Peterson to approve Mr. Nielsen as new fireman. Carried. New Business: County road commission asking to use our GRIP money toward paving Church, Doyle D-32. Discussion Peterson to contact our rep and ask that the GRIP money go toward gravel improvements since D-32 is a primary road and should be maintained by the county dollars. Motion Krueger support Cowan to approve the Taser policy. Carried. Mr. Smith appointment to Planning expires in March, he does not wish to continue, and Peterson recommends we advertise again. Motion Peterson support Topping to appoint Warren Krueger to the Planning Commission. Carried. Cowan states she has enjoyed working on the Planning and feels she has always voted her beliefs and done her best. Motion Peterson support Krueger to appoint Cowan to the Recreation Committee. Carried. Work meetings scheduled for budget work for Feb. 13th and 21st. at 6 p.m. Final call to public: Meeting adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
