Unadilla Township Regular Meeting Minutes

February 11, 2010

Meeting called to order at 7:01 p.m.  Pledge to flag.  Present: Walker, Topping, Weiland.  Absent: Mahler, Cowan.  Motion Walker support Weiland to approve agenda as presented.  Carried.  Motion Walker support Weiland to approve the minutes of January.  Carried.  Motion Walker support Weiland to approve payment of bills as presented.  Carried.  Call to Public: None.  Senior Report:  Walker reports they wish to become their own 501 C 3 non-profit organization.  Recreation Report: They are working on some grants.  Planning Report: Working on private road language and building envelope language.  They received correspondence from citizen to amend ordinance re: chickens.  Police Report by Chief Cook.  Fire Report by Chief Schroeder, requesting new hire Heather Zskelli, Motion Walker support Weiland to approve hire.  Carried.  Motion Walker support Weiland to approve purchase of a new holligan bar, theirs was lost in a fire.  Cost not to exceed $250.00.  Carried.  Chief Curtis requests permission to apply for grant for gear.  Motion Walker support Weiland to approve seeking grant and to allow fire department to seek and select bid for cost of gear.  Carried.  Correspondence:  Multi-Lakes Sewer Authority packet, Jim Peterson present to inform board of issues concerning Lyndon Township and their “Debt Service” issue.  Fowlerville Liaison Officer request for funds, tabled to budget time.  Unfinished Business: Arnold road violations, no progress since last month.  Drain Update, County looking to set necessity public hearing in April.  New Business:  Resolution to collect summer taxes for Fowlerville Schools.  Motion Walker support Weiland to approve resolution.  All in favor.  None Opposed. Carried.  Motion Topping support Walker to approve zoning amendment for fences.  Carried.  Motion Walker support Weiland to approve $600.00 expenditure for the Stockbridge / Gregory Garden Club to plant flowers at their expense in planters provided by the Township.  Carried.  Final call to Public:  None.  Motion Walker support Weiland to adjourn at 7:28 p.m.  Carried.
