Unadilla Township Regular Board Meeting

June 8, 2006

Meeting called to order at 7:02 p.m.  Pledge to flag.  Present:  Peterson, Topping, Mahler, Krueger.  Absent:  Cowan.  Motion Krueger support Peterson to approve agenda.  Carried.  Motion Krueger support Mahler to approve consent agenda items, minutes of May 11, 2006 and payment of bills.  Carried.  Call to Public:  None.  Reports:  Garth Burnside from Michigan State Police LAWNET and Chief Bunten gave a presentation.  Zoning: written report available.  Planning:  Minutes available.  Police:  Chief Cook reports officer Soli will be off all summer working for Fowlerville. Looking at hiring a part-time for replacement.  Fire:  They are looking at new truck options to present to board.  Recreation:  Cowan absent, Peterson reports nothing new to report.  Senior Program:  Mahler reports County wants to expand to 5 days per week.  Motion Peterson support Krueger to allow County to operate senior program 5 days per week.  Carried.  Clean Up Day:  Day went well in spite of weather issues.  Unfinished Business: Cost recovery fees and fines, still incomplete.  New Business:  Credit Card policy from MTA, Motion Peterson support Krueger to adopt new credit card policy as written.  Roll vote Ayes:  Peterson, Mahler, Krueger, Topping.  Absent: Cowan.  Policy adopted.  Motion Krueger support Peterson to approve purchase of new car from Signature Ford for 25,316, plus graphics of $395, using all of the police forfeiture money along with police budgeted money.  Carried.  Motion Krueger support Peterson to approve payment of porta-johns for 4th of July day from Wild Sanitation cost of 2 at $65, 1 handicap at $125, one donated by Supervisor Peterson and one donated by Wild Sanitation for a total of 5.  Carried.  Motion Mahler support Krueger to approve crime victims rights fund to be sent to LACASA in Livingston County, since the use of these funds is extremely limited it will go to good use there.  Carried.  Final call to Public: None.  Meeting adjourned at 7:41 p.m. by Motion Krueger support Mahler.  Carried.
