Unadilla Township Regular Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Supervisor Peterson.  Present:  Peterson, Topping, Mahler, Krueger, Cowan.  Absent:  None.  Pledge to flag.  Motion Mahler support Cowan to approve the consent agenda as amended.  Motion Topping support Krueger to approve the minutes of May 12 and June 2, 2005. Carried.  Payment of bills will be at a later date, Treasurer computer updating.  Supervisor Peterson and Public Safety Officer Krueger presented reserve officer Cowan and reserve officer Hamlin a letter of commendation for their diligent effort on solving the recent break-ins and recovery of many items.  First Call to public:  None.  Reports:  Multi-Lake Sewer Authority representative Marianne Noah was present, passed out a hand out and took questions.  History of sewer projects was discussed as well as solutions.  After much sewer discussion, motion Peterson support Krueger to break for 10 minutes.  Zoning report presented, Planning update by Cowan, Recreation update.  Police Dept. update by Chief Cook.  He suggests board look at a solicitation ordinance that will require door to door sales people to register with the township before soliciting.  Pinckney car purchased for $5200.00 fully equipped, checked out by local mechanic.  Both other cars running good.  Fire report by Dave Curtis, he reports that outside hydrant failed, they are looking at options for repairs.  3 firefighters passed state exams.  Grant submitted to bring air packs into compliance.  Valley Acres Final site plan was approved by our planning commission last meeting.  Motion Peterson support Topping to approve final site plan pending engineer’s requirements, escrow brought up to date and performance bond issued.  Carried.  Beduhn’s final site plan was tabled as they still had significant issues to comply with per engineer.  Motion Peterson support Cowan to approve the payment of $320.00 for Porta-Johns for 4th of July.  Wild Sanitation donates one and we pay for 1 handicap and 2 regular. Carried.  Final Call to Public:  Continued discussion of sewers and costs.  Explained that Gregory’s operating and maintenance fees don’t include set aside money for capital improvements or replacement.  Discussion of bringing Gregory’s fees up to what everyone else pays in Multi-Lake authority.   Motion Peterson support Krueger to adjourn at 9:04 p.m.  Carried.
