Meeting called to order at 7:02 p.m. Pledge to flag. Present: Peterson, Topping, Mahler, Krueger, Cowan. Absent: None. Motion Krueger support Cowan to approve the Agenda as amended. Motion Mahler support Krueger to approve consent agenda items, including minutes of June 2008 and payment of bills as presented. Carried. Call to Public: Doug Helzerman introduced himself, running for County Commissioner. Richard Winsett director of Livingston County, Director of Emergency Management. Was present to answer any questions on the proposed County Hazard Mitigation Plan and he requests that each local unit of government adopt the plan at no cost to the township. Motion Krueger support Mahler to approve resolution # 0708-2 as discussed. Roll vote: Ayes: Cowan, Mahler, Peterson, Krueger, Topping. Nays: None. Resolution approved. Planning Report by Topping. Police Report by Chief Cook-Discussion of increased Sunday hours for the summer. Motion Krueger support Cowan to increase Mr. Kopacz wage by 50cents per hour effective the pay week of his first anniversary of work. Carried. Fire Report by Chief Schroeder-SW Nazarene Church holding a car wash the 19th. Police and Fire Departments wish to thank the surrounding communities for their help during the 4th of July Celebration: Livingston County Sheriff Department, Howell Fire Department, Waterloo Police Department, Pinckney Police and Fire Departments, Stockbridge Police and Fire Departments. In part because of their donations of time, equipment and personnel there were no serious issues. Recreation Report by Cowan, getting backstop repair estimates for Unadilla Park. Senior Program Report by Mahler, the Seniors will be taking a trip to Turkeyville. Zoning Report: Written report available. Discussion of selling old police car and method, along with purchase of new car, tabled to next month for better figures. Motion Krueger support Cowan to approve Multi-Lakes Sewer Service Area Resolution # 0708-1, to add parcel to the sewer district in Unadilla Township, located on Watson Lake, lot 6 of the Island Lake Shores, plat.
