Unadilla Township Regular Meeting

October 11, 2007

Meeting called to order at 7:02 p.m.  Present: Peterson, Topping, Mahler, Krueger, Cowan.  Absent: None.  Pledge to flag.  Motion Mahler support Krueger to approve agenda as presented.  Carried.  Motion Krueger support Mahler to approve consent agenda items, minutes of September, 2007 and payment of bills as presented.  Carried.  First Call to Public:  None.  Planning Report by Trustee Krueger.  Held 2 public hearings one for density reduction one for signs.  They have 2 public hearings this month one for rezoning in business district and one for home based business.  Police Report by Chief Cook.  Working on junk car ordinance.  Verizon fixed phone line.  Fire Report by Chief Schroeder.  Trudell resigned, have 5 in fire school.  Curtis presented Tanker update, expected delivery Nov 7^th.

Recreation Report: Peterson reports the concrete has been completed along with seeding and grading.  Senior Report by Mahler, the conducted flu clinic last Tuesday well attended.  Zoning Report: written report available.  Peterson reports 6 new homes this year so far.  Correspondence:  Topping reports there is a Lansing Community College election on November 6^th for their board of trustees only.  Motion Mahler support Krueger to approve tax levy for township of .6892, for fire millage of .8590, for police millage of 1.2885 and for roads for .9049 for a total levy for the township of 3.7407 mills.  Carried.  Motion Cowan support Krueger to set “Trick-or Treat” hours from 5to 7 p.m. on October 31^st.  Carried.  Chief Schroeder reports that siren will sound at 7 p.m., ending hours.  He also reports they will be available to test candy for metal if any parents request it.  Final Call to Public:  Aflac representative there to give presentation.

Motion Krueger support Peterson to adjourn at 7:33 p.m.  Carried.
