Meeting called to order by Supervisor Peterson at 7:04 p.m. Present: Peterson, Topping, Mahler, Krueger, Cowan. Absent: None. Motion Krueger support Peterson to approve consent agenda items as amended. Carried. First Call to Public: None. Zoning report available. Planning Report: Holding a rezoning on Blaisdell property December 1, setting public hearing for changes in districts, approved changes to text amendments 16:30 deleting section .30 entirely and changes to 18.08. Approved site plan review time line requirements. Cowan discussed creating planning assistant for organizing. Recreation Committee: Update on Unadilla Park, Senior Meal Program. Supervisors Report: Peterson reported at the direction of the Insurance Co. and the Township Attorney, Unadilla Township Vs James Lyttle, the Township reluctantly agreed to settle the suit for $85,000.00. All money was paid by the Insurance Company not out of township funds. This matter is in the public record and is so being advised at the direction of the township attorney. Public Safety Reports: Discussion to authorize Peterson to look into forming a police authority with Putnam Twp., Pinckney Village and us. All in favor. Motion Peterson support Cowan to utilize Soli’s canine for patrol on a trial basis. Carried. Motion Peterson support Cowan to hire Andrew Hinkle to replace Piatt who can no longer work. Carried. Motion Krueger support Cowan to purchase new police car and sell the two old cars. Peterson opposed. Carried. Fire Report: They are looking at three new applicants, working on inventory and service record keeping. Unfinished business: Senior meal program discussion. Looking at finding a used warmer. New Business: Dan Myers from Washtenaw County Public Works was present to discuss Multi-Lakes issues, expansion, upgrade. Unadilla Township is very upset with the cost of the proposed upgrade being put on our citizens and not just new users and developers. A resolution was presented from the Washtenaw County Board of Public Works for the initiation of this wastewater plant improvement. The resolution was offered by Peterson and supported by Krueger. Roll Vote: Ayes: None. Opposed: Cowan, Mahler, Peterson, Krueger, Topping. Resolution failed. Discussion of poverty guidelines for taxing purposes. Peterson to look into cost of living for Michigan Vs other states. Final Call to public: None. Motion Krueger support Mahler to adjourn at 8:38 p.m. Carried.
