Unadilla Township Regular Meeting Minutes

December 10, 2009

Meeting called to order at 7:02 p.m.  Pledge to flag.  Present: Walker, Topping, Mahler, Cowan, Weiland.  Absent: None.  Motion Walker support Mahler to approve agenda as amended.  Carried.  Motion Walker support Weiland to approve regular minutes of November.  12, 2009.  Carried.  Motion Mahler support Topping to approve payment of bills as presented.  Carried.  Call to Public: None.  Drain update tabled to January, Drain representative ill.  Senior Report by Mahler.  Recreation Report by Cowan.  Planning Report by Topping Public Safety: Chief Cook reports he needs new tires for new car.  Motion Walker support Weiland to approve new tire purchase.  Carried.  Police Department taking bids on forfeiture car, bid process discussed, Township board members will open bids this Saturday.  Police participated in “Shop with a Cop”  Chief Schroeder reports Shawn Parks has been removed from roster.  Received a DNR grant for new foam mixer, hydraulic adapters, strainer and microphones.  DNR grant will reimburse us up to $1500.00 towards costs.  Costs expected to be $2300.00, with half to be reimbursed.  Motion Walker support Mahler to approve purchases.  Carried.  They also are requesting new AED’s cost approx. $2850.00, with $1800.00 from township and Fire Association will reimburse remainder.  Motion Walker support Cowan to approve purchase.  Carried.  Correspondence:  Drain petition request, tabled.  Confirmation letter from DNR that our Recreation Plan has been approved.  Unfinished Business:  Arnold Road issue, approved file to go to attorney.  Recycling update:  Cowan states we are currently waiting for a dumpster.  New Business: Recognition Certificate tabled to January.  Snow Bids, Motion Topping support Weiland to take snow plow bids and open at January meeting.  Carried.  Final Call to Public:  None.  Motion Walker support Mahler to adjourn at 7:33 p.m.  Carried.
