Unadilla Township Regular Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by Supervisor Peterson at 7:31 p.m.  Present:  Peterson, Topping, Mahler, Krueger, Cowan.  Absent: None.  Pledge to flag.  Agenda amended to add 9 G. School Election Consolidation Resolution.  Minutes of December 9, 2004 amended to add Cowan concerned whether we were following correct ordinance with regard to Robinbird Lane.  Motion Mahler to approve consent agenda items as amended support by Krueger.  This includes minutes of Dec. 9, 12, 16 and payment of bills. Carried.  Non action correspondence: Read letter from Carlisle Wortman stating they were resigning as our planning consultant effective March 1, 2005.  First call to public.  Zoning report: Written report available only 1 permit issued in January 2005.  Planning Report:  Cowan updated board.  Clean Up Day discussed:  Need to find new location to hold this year.  Looking at doing it in the fall.  Livingston County holding a household waste program the 1st Saturday in April more info available soon.  They have compost waste distribution bins available also.  Public Safety Reports: Police Chief Cook reports site distance warning signs going up at intersection of M-106 and Dutton.  Camera for old car to be installed soon.  Fire Chief Schroeder thanked officer Newberry for help on a call.  Ice rescue training was completed last weekend.  90% of the new gear racks are installed and the first part of the FEMA grant complete.  Information from the state fire marshall hand outs are available regarding fire safety.  Tuesday Feb. 15th the township will be hosting a public information day and will supply help for seniors filling out the tax credit forms and home heating credit forms.  The newly formed recreation committee will be meeting the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.  They are working on programs for   Seniors and Youth for the community any help or input from the public is welcome.  They meet at the township hall.  Motion Krueger support Peterson to approve resolution 2-05-1 to close State Highway for the 4th of July parade.  Carried.  Motion Mahler support Peterson to approve resolution 2-05-2 to amend the Gregory Sewer special assessment roll moving one REU from 13-22-101-018 to 13-22-101-019.  Carried.  Representatives for the Stockbridge Ambulance Service were present to discuss their financial needs and issues and to answer any questions from the board or public.  They are looking into creating an ambulance authority to better fund the service.  Motion Krueger support Peterson to approve the preliminary site plan of Gregory Meadows as presented.  Carried.  Motion Mahler to amend budget  decreasing 209 (assessor) by $2800.00, 210(attorney) by $10,937.00, and 284 (general) by $2,000.00. For a total of $15,737.00.  Increasing 191 (elections) by $1110.00, 223 (audit) by $500.00, 265 (general maintenance) by $6,000.00, 446(roads) by $4,427.00 and 805 (zoning) by $3700.00. For a total of $15,737.00  support Krueger.  Carried.  Motion Krueger support Peterson to pass resolution on school election consolidation allowing the clerk to sign on behalf of the township.  Carried.  Final call to public.  Motion to adjourn at 8:10 p.m. by Krueger support Peterson.  Carried.
