If there is an emergency, please dial 911.  Our business office can be reached by dialing (734) 498-2551.  If no staff members are available to take your call, please leave a message on the answering machine and your call will be returned.

If you have a non-emergency matter, and you need to speak to a firefighter, please telephone Livingston County Central Dispatch at (517) 546-9111.  If you have an urgent matter (of a non-emergency nature), you may contact Chief Schroeder at his residence at (734) 498-2794.  The Unadilla Township Fire Department covers 36 square miles and serves the communities of Gregory, Unadilla, and Plainfield.

If you would like to request a burn permit, please telephone our business office no later than two days prior to the burn to obtain a permit.  If a firefighter is unavailable to take your call, please leave your name, telephone number, address, nearest cross street, type of material you plan to burn, and date and time you plan to burn on the answering machine; and a staff member will return your call.

In accordance with State of Michigan open burning guidelines, you are only permitted to burn brush and leaves in a supervised controlled burn in a safe manner.  Burning permits can be issued for up to three (3) continuous days maximum.

An emergency phone is located on the front of the Fire Station.  This phone can be used for emergency and non-emergency requests for fire, police and medical calls for service.
